Interview

Kevin McGillivray

Q1.  What have you missed most about being in Metal Attakk!

Definitely playing in the band. The camaraderie and playing damn good, loud music!

Q.2 If you could change one thing about Metal Attakk!, what would it be?

Probably spending more time trying to write our own stuff. For fuck's sake, it can't be that difficult?

Q.3 Which song did you enjoy playing most?

I enjoyed Roll On and Whole Lotta Rosie. Oh, and Breakin' the Law, of course!

Q.4 And which song did you least enjoy playing?

What was that song we did in the early days? With Ally screaming the backing vocals all out of tune? And some of the punk stuff.

Q.5 Which was your favourite Metal Attakk! gig?

Hmm…The one in the Redwood, when we got reviewed in the paper, and the first gig when all my mates turned up. We got a great reception that night, and a lot of people were taking note.

Q.6 If Metal Attakk! were to reform for a one-off gig, would you be keen to participate?

I reckon I'd throw my hat in the ring, so to speak!

Q.7 Who annoyed you the most in Metal Attakk!?

So many names, so little time…OK then, moaning Ally Manson.

Q.8 Are you of the opinion that Neil and Boots took too much drink prior to the gig in Wick?

I think my thoughts on this matter are well known!

Q.9 What was the last CD you bought (or were given)?

Tyketto - Strength in Numbers. I also just recently got my hands on Company of Wolves, on vinyl!

Q.10 What music are you listening to just now?

Company of Wolves, Iron Maiden's new one, and Princess Pang

Q.11 What's your favourite album of all time?

Life After Death has got to be up there, as well as British Steel, and Iron Maiden. Holy Diver, Heaven and Hell, Under the Blade, ….And Justice For All, If You Want Blood….

Q.12 Any funny stories to tell the world?

Well, I could tell the story of Neil spewing out the window of the flats, and it still hasn't been cleaned up yet, or I could tell the story of  an un-named drummer squatting Under the Bridge downtown….but I won't!

Q13. Whose instrument sounded like a 'Marble in a Tumble-Dryer'?

Now I'm not going to answer a question like that, am I? FFS, who made these questions up????
